COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Planning Commission is getting ready to review and update the City’s Master Plan which has to be done every five years under state law.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker said during Monday’s City Council meeting a lot has changed since the city’s current Master Plan was adopted in 2017.
Randy Mielnik from the Monroe firm of Poggemeyer Design Group said five years ago that one of the key recommendations back then centered around land use, including single family neighborhoods near downtown and the need to reevaluate zoning.
Other recommendations covered transportation.
The update of the Master Plan in 2017 when the first update for the city in 15 years.
