COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Two Coldwater residents who were arrested last March following an alleged confrontation with police entered pleas on Tuesday in Branch County Circuit Court.
According to a court spokesperson, 33-year-old Terry Rudy II entered no contest pleas to three counts of resisting a police officer as part of a plea bargain agreement.
In exchange, prosecutors would dismiss a marijuana possession count as well as all other notices and a habitual offender enhancement.
34-year-old co-defendant Sara Russell also entered into a plea bargain agreement by pleading guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana.
In exchange, prosecutors will dismiss three resisting and obstructing police charges.
Rudy and Russell are both scheduled to be sentenced on October 3rd.
