COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It has been a dry summer for the most part but that changed Monday evening and into Tuesday morning as heavy rain moved through the area.
Rainfall total reports from National Weather Service observers indicate everybody got a good soaking.
It came after Coldwater had not gotten any measureable rain for the first 12 days of August.
In Branch County, about 3.3 inches of rain was reported near Quincy; nearly four-and-a-half inches was recorded near Kinderhook while five inches was recorded near Union City.
In Hillsdale County, just under four inches fell at Litchfield while over three inches was reported near Hillsdale, North Adams and Moscow.
In St. Joseph County, three-point-nine inches was reported near Constantine and Klinger Lake.
Over two inches fell at several locations in Steuben County including 2.44 inches in Angola.
