COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was a busy morning for Coldwater firefighters as they had two calls within a half hour.
They were first sent to 38 West Clarke Avenue at 4:42 a.m. on a report of minor electrical fire which led to smoke in the basement.
Then about a half hour later at 5:14 a.m., firefighters were sent to Real Alloy Specifications after molten aluminum overfilled a vat and caused a hydraulic oil fire.
About a dozen employees were evacuated after the building filled with smoke.
The situation was called under control at about 6:15 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
