MOSCOW, MI (WTVB) – The identity of a pickup truck driver who died in a fiery Hillsdale County traffic accident during the early morning hours of July 18th has been determined.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says with the assistance of Lucas County Coroner’s Office, the victim from the fatal crash on East Chicago Road near Dennings Road has been identified as 24-year-old Joseph Michael Pickell of Cement City.
Deputies say the pickup went off the road and up an embankment before it struck a tree and burst into flames.
Pickell did not make it out of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
