QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Heavy damage was reported following a fire at a Quincy home late Saturday night.
The Quincy Fire Department said on their Facebook page that firefighters responded to 857 Ronald Street when a grease fire started in the grill which compromised the propane hoses underneath.
The relief valve activated on the propane tank causing heavy fire to spread to the home.
Damage was mainly confined to the exterior of the structure with light smoke and water damage inside the home. Everyone inside escaped the fire without injury.
Crews were on scene for an hour and a half.
Branch County Victim Services assisted the family with a place to stay for the evening.
