Marjorie Elizabeth Lutz, 98, of Bronson passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Masonville Place in Coldwater.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater.
Visitation will take place on Monday, January 23, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Marjorie was born August 30, 1924 to Homer and Cora (Glass) McDonald in Coldwater. On December 7, 1940 she married the love of her life, Marion Lutz. Together they made many memories before his passing on May 12, 1995.
Marjorie worked for many years at Douglas Autotech in Bronson before retiring.
Marjorie was a woman of strong faith and a life-long member of the Catholic Church. She was a member of the UTC. Marjorie enjoyed spending time gardening, taking trips to the casino, and baking. She always put the needs of her family first. Marjorie will be remembered for her dedication to her family, friends, and work. She never met a stranger and always was available to anyone who asked for help.
Mrs. Lutz is survived by her children Max Lutz of Bronson and Pam Herndon of Waterloo; her brother Bob (Betty) McDonald of Bronson; her grandchildren Tina (Dave) Pratt, Tim (Kris) Lutz, Anna (Mike) Eddy, Angie (Dennis) Matteoni, Jenni (Charles) Scott, Matt Lutz, and Mindy (Lee) Swager; her granddaughter-in-law Debi Lutz; her 16 great grandchildren; several great, great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Marion Lutz; her sons Paul & Bernie Lutz; her son-in-law Don Herndon; her grandson Tony Lutz; her great grandson Tony Matteoni; her sister Leoma Aldrich; and her brothers John (Claretta) McDonald, Tony (Henrietta) McDonald, and Leonard “Stub” (Opal) McDonald.
Memorials may be directed to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church or the Masonville Place Activities Fund.
