COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Century Bank and Trust says on their web site that there are fraudulent cashier’s checks from the bank that are circulating.
If you receive a Century Bank and Trust cashier’s check, you are being asked to use caution.Do not negotiate the check or send any money before verifying its authenticity.
Most of the checks are written for an amount more that they are supposed to be. Customers are asked to go to their local bank, cash the check and have a new cashier’s check cut and to mail back the difference.
