COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Sherwood Township man was told to serve between seven and 15 years in prison on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court after he entered guilty pleas to a pair of Criminal Sexual Conduct charges.
34-year old Charles Miller was originally charged with three 1st Degree CSC counts for alleged crimes involving a girl under the age of 13 between June 5 and July 4, 2015. The original charges were dismissed in exchange for the guilty pleas.
The sentences handed down were concurrent. Miller got a sentence of between 59 months to 15 years on a charge of 2nd Degree CSC. He got a seven to 15 year sentence for 3rd Degree CSC involving incest.
Miller was arrested following an investigation by the Michigan State Police.
