COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man offered to plead guilty to a pair of methamphetamine related charges on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court after his motorcycle was stopped for speeding by the Michigan State Police in Butler Township May 25, 2016.
44-year-old Kenneth Lee Byrd entered guilty pleas to possession of meth as well as to a count of operating and maintaining a lab involving meth. Both charges carry maximum sentences of ten years.
Terms of the agreement call for the charges to be served concurrently.
Sentencing has been scheduled for August 15, 2016.
All other charges along with an habitual offender enhancement would be dismissed in exchange for the guilty pleas.
