COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help after several businesses in the county have reported thefts of catalytic converters in recent weeks.
The Sheriff’s Department that while there have been many converter thefts in recent years from homes and businesses, the numbers had been going down until recently.
With the recent uptick in thefts, residents and businesses are being told to remain vigilant to suspicious vehicles and to consider options for home and business surveillance systems such as cameras or motion detectors.
The Sheriff’s Department and other police agencies are investigating several recent thefts and are continuing to follow up on information they have received.
