THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) -A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family of a boy from Three Rivers with funeral expenses after he drowned in Kalamazoo County’s Crooked Lake over the Independence Day weekend.
Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas says six-year-old Carvell Johnson was pulled from about three feet of water late Sunday afternoon, after he apparently went unsupervised.
CPR was already underway when first responders arrived but the youngster could not be revived.
