BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Bronson spoiled Union City’s Snocoming game with a 60-41 victory at the McNett Fieldhouse. The Vikings roared out to a 19-6 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
Kamron Brackett led all scorers with 17 points and 6 steals, while Aden Hathaway had 16 points and 6 assists. Saylor Wotta recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds as Bronson improves to 9-8 overall, 6-4 in the Big 8. They travel to Homer next Friday.
Landon Galvin had a team-high 15 points for the Chargers, who fell to 7-10 overall, 2-8 in the Big 8. They play at Reading next Friday.
Elsewhere, Quincy lost to league co-leader Jonesville 31-21. Ashtyn Morris and Grant Carter each scored 6 points to pace the Orioles, who fell to 9-7 overall, 4-6 in the Big 8, and will host Morenci on Tuesday.
The other Big 8 co-leader, Concord, had no problems defending their home court against Springport with a 71-37 win. And Homer edged Reading 43-41.
Tekonsha improved to 8-7 with a 52-42 win at Burr Oak.
