COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The former Bronson High School student who entered into a plea agreement two months ago after making a false bomb threat on March 9, 2022 was ordered to serve 18 months of probation on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
19-year-old Morgan Payge Fill entered a guilty plea to a high court misdemeanor of Lying to a Peace Officer. She also entered a no contest plea to attempted false report or terrorism in connection with the false bomb threat at Bronson High School as part of the plea agreement that was filed on December 19.
Two felony charges of False Report or Threat of Terrorism and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime were dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for her pleas. Prosecutors also agreed not to seek jail time in the case.
Through the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act, Fill will be able to keep her criminal records sealed and off her record if she complies with the terms and conditions of her probation.
According to court documents, the threat against the school was made by email through the State of Michigan’s OK2SAY website. The charges were filed following an investigation by the Michigan State Police. Fill was a senior at Bronson High School at the time of the incident.
This person should have done a little jail time to go with the probation. She got a free pass & probably laughing about it to her friends.
