COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Fremont, Indiana Superintendent of Schools Dr. William Stitt is among the four remaining candidates to be the next Coldwater Community Schools Superintendent.
The Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education reviewed all 11 applications during a special meeting Monday night and invited four of the educators to be interviewed.
The process has been facilitated by the Michigan Leadership Institute.
All interviews will be held in the Administrative Service Center and are open to the public.
Two interviews will be held each night on March 8 and 9.
Dr. Paden Stalter, Director of REAP for Lansing Public Schools, is scheduled to be interviewed on March 8 at 6:00 p.m. followed by Sandusky, Michigan Superintendent Paul Flynn at 7:30 p.m..
Stitt is scheduled to be interviewed March 9 at 6:00 pm followed by Capac Superintendent Jeff Terpenning at 7:30 p.m..
The superintendent position became available when Terry Ann Whelan announced her retirement and resignation which will be effective on June 30. She has served as Superintendent for nine years.
The Board anticipates the new superintendent will begin duties July 1, 2023.
