WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Federal Aviation’s Administration has named Jessica Sypniewski to be its new deputy assistant administrator of NextGen, the agency announced Tuesday.
NextGen, short for Next Generation Air Transportation System, is the FAA’s multibillion dollar modernization program for the National Airspace System.
Katie Thomson, currently the Transportation Department’s director of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, will replace Sypniewski as FAA chief of staff.
