COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital has announced the most recent recipients of the ROSE and Service Excellence Champion Awards.
The ROSE Award is presented quarterly to recognize employees who participate in the care of patients that are not nurses.
To continue the flower theme to compliment the DAISY award to recognize nurses, the ROSE award was created. ROSE stands for Recognizing Outstanding Service and Excellence and the most recent recipient is Lisa Counterman.
Her nominator said, “When I read the definition of the ROSE Award, the phrases ‘amazing contributions, outstanding service and overall excellence’ Lisa immediately come to mind. She engages all staff with the same smile and how can I help you attitude. It doesn’t matter to her what your title is, all are equally important to Lisa. She is a good listener and takes questions with concise, well-constructed responses.”
Amy Powell was awarded the Service Excellence Champion (SEC) Award.
The award is an ongoing opportunity to recognize employees who are best described as a Service Excellence Champion. It might be an employee who exemplifies the ProMedica mission, vision and values or exceed patient’s expectations at every opportunity. A SEC can also be an employee who is an unsung hero in your eyes of a co-worker or patient.
Powell’s nominator said, “Amy is an amazing patient advocate who goes above and beyond for our patients, especially those with language barriers. She takes time to not only listen to patient’s needs, but also makes time and takes the steps to help them.”
