QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Village Council approved a one year employment contract with Village Manager Brittany Butler during their monthly meeting on Tuesday night.
The one year contract would expire on January 31, 2024 and calls for Butler to receive a salary of $70,000. She is foregoing a raise until the village budget is finalized for the upcoming year.
The Council approved the contract after Butler was given an outstanding annual performance review for the past year by the Village staff and Council members.
It was felt by the Council that Butler does a great job at looking ahead to the communities needs and finding alternative ways to pay for them so the community benefits in the best possible way.
In addition, they felt Butler continues to show exceptional wisdom and leadership skills in carrying out her duties.
The staff felt she has done an exceptional job through COVID, disgruntled village residents and her back surgery. They added Butler is a very hard worker and is someone you can come to with questions.
Butler became the Quincy Village Manager about three years ago.
In other business, the Village Council approved a request from Butler to put out Requests for Proposals for municipal legal services. Sealed proposals must be submitted to the Village Office by no later than 3:00 p.m. on March 20, 2023.
The Council also set May 6 as the Village wide bulk day for pickup. Village residents will be allowed to place unwanted items out by the curb for pickup beginning April 30.
This program is for Village residents only.
