COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Consumers Energy said in a press release Friday that they expected to have power restored to half of all its customers affected by Wednesday’s ice storm by Saturday morning, and they are very close to delivering on that promise. Just over 129,000 Consumers customers statewide remain without power as of 5 a.m. Saturday morning, including:
- 5,000 in Branch County
- 14,000 in Hillsdale County
- 12,000 in Calhoun County
- 36,000 in Jackson County
- 25,000 in Kalamazoo County
The utility intends to have power restored to most of its customers by Sunday, with restoration work complete by Monday.
