Pamella A. LaFountain, 64, of Quincy, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023, at Ascension Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
A memorial visitation for Pamella LaFountain will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
She was born April 11, 1958, in Coldwater to George and Delores (Everline) Marsh. She married Vern LaFountain on March 21, 1981, and he survives.
Pam graduated from Quincy High School, Class of 1976. For many years, she owned and operated a daycare out of her home. She was very proud of the children that have gone through her daycare, many of whom started at six weeks old and stayed until school age. She was very active in her church, volunteering for vacation bible school, children’s church, youth group, and adult bible studies.
Pam considered her marriage and children to be her greatest accomplishments. When asked at church once if she could time travel back to a specific time, she said it would be when her children were young. She deeply enjoyed raising her children, and it was the best time of her life.
Surviving besides her husband, Vern, are two children, Lance (Megan) LaFountain and Lisa (Patrick) Cook; a grandson, Quinn Cook; and two brothers, Cal Marsh and Dan (Debra) Marsh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law Sharon Marsh, and a son, Dennis, who passed away in infancy.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School for the Angel Tuition Fund in memory of Pam LaFountain.
