Jason Lee Walp, 46, of Coldwater passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023 surrounded by his family at his home in Coldwater.
In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
He was born June 2, 1976 to Harry and Sue (Hatmaker) Walp Jr. in Coldwater, MI. Jason had been employed with the local lumber yards where he served as both a sales clerk and delivery driver. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and being on the lake. Jason was a big fan of U of M football and liked following NASCAR as well, but his greatest passion was his family. He will be dearly missed as a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Jason leaves behind his mother Sue Clifford of Coldwater; his daughters Rylee (Taylor Yeider) Walp of Coldwater, Ashlyn (Johnny) Squier of Hudson, IN; his siblings Larry (Esther) Walp of El Paso, TX, Deborah (Kenneth) Wagner of Bronson, Gary (Leslie) Walp of Quincy, Kelly (Dan Fenske) Gunter of Coldwater; his grandchildren Nova Yeider, Johnny Squier; his many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Wyatt.
He was preceded in death by his father Harry, his brother Daniel Walp, and his grandparents.
