FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – If your travel plans include a trip to Fremont, Indiana over the next few months, be aware of road construction and detours.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a portion of State Road 827 will be closed for road reconstruction work.
Crews will begin working between State Road 120 and Swager Drive in Fremont starting on or after this Monday, March 20.
Construction is expected to be complete by early July. INDOT says all work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
During construction, drivers should use the posted detour of State Roads 120 and 127 or seek an alternate route.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
