WOODBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A patch of ice led to a Hillsdale County one vehicle crash Monday morning which sent a Camden man to the hospital.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department reports the crash happened at about 7:50 a.m. on West Montgomery Road near Carpenter Road.
They say 41-year-old Nathan Dale Vanaken along with a minor passenger were traveling west on Montgomery Road when he lost control on a patch of ice.
Vanaken ran off the road on the north side. The vehicle then hit a fence and a power pole.
Reading Emergency transported Vanaken to Hillsdale Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
Both of the vehicle occupants were wearing seatbelts.
Hillsdale Towing, Reading Emergency and the Woodbridge Fire Department assisted the Sheriff’s Office.
