UNDATED (WTVB) – The two teams that knocked out Branch County squads during the regional semi finals last week were both defeated in the quarterfinals of the M.H.S.A.A. Girls Basketball Tournament on Tuesday night.
After eliminating Coldwater in the Division One regional semifinals at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium last Tuesday, the Holt Rams were beaten by Rockford 50-36.
Meanwhile, the top-ranked Buchanan Bucs lost to Hart 45-41 in the Division Three quarterfinals.
Buchanan rallied from a 15 point first half deficit last Tuesday to beat Bronson in the regional semifinals.
The M.H.S.A.A. girls basketball tournament now moves to the Breslin Center in East Lansing for state semifinals on Thursday and Friday along with the four state title games on Saturday.
Regional titles will be up for grabs in the boys basketball tournament on Wednesday night. In games of area interest…
