COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – An Indiana woman who was one of two people arrested following a high speed chase through three counties on April 20 entered a guilty plea on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court to possessing a controlled substance less than 25 grams.
23-year-old Ashley Rose Eichinger of Auburn, Indiana is scheduled to be sentenced on August 1, 2016. In exchange for her guilty plea, prosecutors would drop four other charges.
Six police agencies were involved in the chase that started in Fremont, Indiana and went through Branch and Hillsdale Counties.
Speeds reached as high as 100 miles an hour during the pursuit. Police say there was an active methamphetamine inside of the vehicle being pursued.
29-year-old Jeromy David Hurd of Garrett was the driver of the vehicle. He was arrested on charges of possession of meth, operating and maintaining a meth lab and resisting law enforcement with a vehicle.
