BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson City Council approved a change in the city’s polling location for the November 3 General Election due to the COVID-19 pandemic during an in person meeting at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says the move from City Hall to the Fire Station will provide much needed room for social distancing on Election Day for residents and election workers.
This change would only be for the November 3 election. Voters will enter the front of the building on Matteson Street and exit the rear of the building to prevent crowding near the entrance/exit.
Post cards will be mailed to all registered voters in the City of Bronson advising them of the change as required for polling location changes.
Bronson voters will be picking three members of the City Council on November 3. The four candidates for the three seats are Mayor Larry McConn along with William Earl, Rick Johannes and William Rinehart.
With the change of season and the time change, the November 8 City Council meeting will be likely be held in the Bronson Community Theater.
