COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s called Michigan’s oldest fly in. The Branch County Flying Club will be hosting the 70th annual Fly In and Motorcycle Ride In Breakfast on Sunday morning at the Branch County Memorial Airport.
The all-you-can-eat breakfast consisting of pancakes, sausage and beverages will be served at the Elite Air Service hangar.
The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children between four and 11. Children three and under eat for free.
Airplane rides will also be available.
In addition, The Branch County Flying Club is set to begin an Introduction to Aviation and Flying during the Fly‐In Breakfast.
The club received a $1,200 grant from the Coach Floyd Eby Memorial Fund held at the Branch County Community Foundation.
This grant will give an introduction to aviation and flying experiences to young students in the community.
Candidates will be interviewed and selected receive actual flying in an airplane.
They will then be asked to write a follow-up essay on the flying experience.
The project is intended to spark an interest in students to pursue an education and a later career in aviation.
