Donna M. (Strouse) Burns, 77, of Coldwater and Swartz Creek passed away Monday March 27, 2023 in Swartz Creek.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Fisher Hill Cemetery, arranged by the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
At a later date there will be a Celebration of Life in Quincy and at the Burton Eagles.
She was born July 25, 1945 in Auburn Indiana to Bill and Edith (Sellon) Strouse.
Donna attended Quincy School and retired from Quality Spring after 25 years. She opened Burns Supply which she owned and operated for 24 years.
Donna loved to travel to all the different countries her son was stationed in during his Army career. Nobody was safe from her sense of humor, if you had conversation with her, she would make you laugh.
She was a member of the Coldwater and Burton Eagles and also the Quincy American.
Survivors include her longtime companion David Beaver of Swartz Creek; her Grandson Denis Burke of Colorado; nieces Kim (Strouse) Posante and Paulette (Gripman) Whinnery of California. Her sister Joan Hodges of Kanas; and several other nieces and nephew’s along with Great Nieces and Nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, son Ronald D. Burke, and siblings Wanita Gripman, Bob, Jim, and Tom.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Whaley Children’s Center, 1201 N. Grand Traverse St, Flint MI. 48503.
