ALLEN, MI (WTVB) – A motorcyclist from Coldwater was killed Wednesday night near Allen.
Michigan State Police say 33-year-old Travis Robertson was killed in the roll over crash.
The crash happened shortly after 7:00pm on North South Allen Road just north of Van Wert Road.
State Police say a witness saw the motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed when it approached a small curve and left the road. The motorcycle went out of control and flipped twice. The driver was ejected from the motorcycle and was found a short distance away.
Troopers say rescue crews tried to revive the victim but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
They add he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Allen Township firefighters and Reading E.M.U. assisted at the scene.
