BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Union City’s girls softball team split two games in a tournament they hosted on Saturday.
The Chargers lost to Athens 11-1 before coming back in the consolation game to defeat Concord 6-4. The Chargers are now 1-3 for the season.
Karlie Eagen was the winning pitcher while Makenzie Hale led the Charger offense with three hits.

The Coldwater J.V. softball team managed to get a split of two games they played at Portage Northern.
They defeated Niles 10-7 but lost to the host school 6-2 in the finals. Mya Porter was the winning pitcher against Niles as she struck out eight batters.
