COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Despite GPS tracking that showed items from a balloon that were part of a project conducted by elementary school students in Goshen, Indiana landed somewhere east of I-69 and north of Coldwater and Quincy, the search continues.
The balloon was launched on Friday morning for an anticipated 2 1/2 hour flight, and it’s believed it came down sometime Friday afternoon. The items were brought back to earth by a red and black six foot parachute that was connected to a blue package and a yellow hard case package.
If found, please contact Andrew Kauffman at 574-849-4017 or email kauffman@goshenschools.org
Last year their balloon ended up near Defiance, Ohio.
Attached to the balloon were some GoPros, cameras and a data logger.
