COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Biz Aid Recycling, an indoor drop-off recycling center located in Coldwater, is participating in a state-organized recycling initiative to collect boat wrap from winter storage.
The 2023 Recycling Run has been put into motion by the Michigan Recycling Coalition in an effort to minimize waste and encourage recycling as boaters begin taking their water crafts out of storage.
Biz Aid Recycling owner Samantha Buterbaugh says, “No other recycling facilities, other than those participating in this program, accept boat wraps and our center is the closest drop-off point for our area. Boat wraps majorly contaminate recycling bins in the springtime.”
The general public can drop off to the recycling center for $8 per wrap. Wraps must be free of tape and vents and should be dry and mostly clean.
Buterbaugh added, “We encourage the marinas in the area to work with us directly to drop off for their customers. Since we are a lake community, we wanted to offer this service to our residents and businesses.”
The recycling center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
Biz Aid Recycling is a local, family-owned and operated facility located at 90 Darling Drive in Coldwater.
