Connie Monroe, 76, of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 surrounded by her family at her home in Coldwater.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at 12:00 noon at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Schark officiating. A burial of ashes will be held in the St. Mark’s Memorial Garden following the service.
The family will receive guests for visitation Friday, April 28, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Connie was born June 26, 1946 in Jackson, MI daughter of Ina Ticnor. Connie worked at the Community Health Center of Branch County for nearly 40 years in the lab where she retired in 2016.
Ms. Monroe was a devoted member at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and volunteered at the Branch County Coalition against Domestic and Sexual Violence Shelter House. She played on the recreational softball and volleyball leagues in Branch County since the late 70’s and participated in the PALM bike ride for many years.
Connie also enjoyed reading, being with family, and watching sports, especially the Detroit Tigers and MSU Spartans.
Connie is survived by her children Joan (Phil) Edmunds of Sterling Heights, Laura (Michael Dinda) Monroe of Coldwater; her grandchildren Ben Edmunds, Ethan Monroe, Liam Dinda, Connor Dinda; her former husband Ron Monroe of Jackson and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ina Ticnor.
Memorial donations can be directed to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, BCCADSV Shelter House, and Tommy’s House.
