COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After a five year absence, the Glenn Miller Orchestra will perform the Tibbits Opera House on Friday night, June 3 at 7:00 p.m.
This will be the fourth appearance by the Glenn Miller Orchestra at Tibbits after appearing in 2008, 2009, and 2011. It will be the groups first appearance in Coldwater under Music Director Nick Hilscher.
The legendary Glenn Miller was one of the most successful of all the dance bandleaders back in the Swing era of the 1930s and ‘40s.
He was entertaining servicemen during World War II when his plane disappeared over the English Channel in December of 1944.
The 18-member Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed by the Miller Estate in 1956.
Tickets for The Glenn Miller Orchestra are $30, $28 for Tibbits members, and $10 for students. All prices include fees.
