BIG OTTER LAKE, IN (WTVB) – A 17-year-old driver from Howe, Indiana was injured Monday afternoon in a crash on State Road 120 west of I-69 in Steuben County.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department says the teen drove left of center at about 4:50 p.m.and collided with the trailer pulled by a Freightliner semi tractor trailer driven by Kenneth Schmucker of Sturgis.
The name and gender of the teenager was not released by the Sheriff’s Department. They only said the juvenile was taken to Cameron Hospital.
Schmucker was not injured. Both drivers wore seat belts and the Sheriff’s Department said they were effective.
