UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Despite the rain and cold, the annual Union City Charger track and field invitational was held on Friday night at Alumni Field.
The boys meet saw the host Chargers finish second while Quincy was fourth.
Quincy was second in the girls meet while Union City was third.
Harper Creek won the team titles in both the boys and girls meet.
The Beavers finished first in the boys meet with 133 points followed by Union City 104, Marshall with 75, Quincy with 60 and Reading with 56.
Union City winners…Alex Hull (200), Hunter Sinke (400) and Logan Cole (shot put and discus)
Quincy winners…Ethan Hollister (long jump) and Corey Turner (pole vault)
Harper Creek won the girls meet with 153 1/2 points followed by Quincy with 115, Union City with 79, Parchment with 50 and Reading with 49.
Union City winners…Skyler Fraley (3200) and Adalynn Rumsey (long jump)
Quincy winners…Brookelyn Parker (300 hurdles), Sophia Snellenberger (shot put and discus) and Lita Fulton (pole vault).
