HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a weekend shooting incident on Reading Road in Jefferson Township east of Hillsdale but Sheriff Stan Burchardt says no one is cooperating.
Deputies were called after a man was shot in the leg by another man at about 2:20 a.m. Sunday during a reported argument. The man who was shot was first taken to the Hillsdale Community Health Center before being transferred to U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor.
The shooting victim has since been released from the hospital. No weapon has been recovered yet.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are not known as those involved as well as witnesses are refusing to talk with police.
