Hilda A. Booher, age 98, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Maple Lawn Medical Center in Coldwater.
A graveside service for Hilda Booher will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy with Pastor Frank Snyder officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
She was born May 2, 1924 to George and Gertie (Morris) Pifer. She married Byron K. Booher on September 28, 1960, and he preceded her in death.
Hilda was employed at Quality Spring in Coldwater for over 30 years, but prior to that, her and her husband Byron ran Booher Bait & Tackle on Archer Lake. Fishing was a passion of hers. She was known for rigging up fly bait and fileting fish. Hilda enjoyed playing games such as bingo. She also liked to do handcrafts of all sorts. Hilda thoroughly enjoyed making trips up north.
Surviving Hilda is niece Deneine (Jeffery) Smead of Quincy; nephew James K. (Ginger) Pifer of Quincy; step son Gene Booher; and 2 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Byron; brother James W. Pifer; and one grandchild.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or the Quincy Library.
