UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Chargers defeated the Bronson Vikings in a nailbiter and in a rout on Tuesday evening in a Big 8 Conference doubleheader. The Chargers won the opener 3-2 in nine innings as Phoenix Elkins drove in the winning run with a base hit. Ryan Zweng went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Union City. Zweng drove in six runs on three hits to lead Union City past Bronson 18-1 in the second game. Tyler Wagley had a homer in the second inning for the Chargers.
