COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Officials say all of the tornado sirens in the City of Coldwater are working properly after they were tested late Friday morning.
A test was conducted at about 11:40 a.m. after repairs were made to one of the sirens. It shut off early during the routine monthly test of tornado sirens back on April 2nd.
The siren that had to be repaired is the oldest of the five sirens operated by the city. It was installed in 1999.
A test was originally scheduled to take place last Friday but it had to be postponed due to the availability of replacement parts.
Two other sirens have been replaced by the city over the last three years at a cost of $18,000 apiece.
