HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – A Hillsdale man was flown to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo Wednesday afternoon when his buggy was struck from behind by a vehicle.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says the buggy which was driven by 36-year-old Joseph Lengacher was on South Hillsdale Road north of Reynolds Road in Cambria Township at about 4:50 p.m. when 81-year-old Rodney Dennis Dockett of Camden came up on the horse and buggy and struck it from behind.
Lengacher was thrown from the buggy. Dockett was wearing his seatbelt and reported no injuries.
