LAKELAND, FL (WTVB) – Infielder Spencer Torkelson hit his first home run as part of the Detrot Tigers organization yesterday. Torkelson sent a 2-2 pitch from Toronto Blue Jays starter Luis Quinones over the left field wall in the first inning.
The number one overall pick in the 2020 draft has been taking part in instructional league camp with other Detroit prospects in Lakeland, Florida.
Torkelson hit 54 homers in 129 games with Arizona State in over two seasons.
