QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school softball Thursday, Quincy swept a doubleheader from Stockbridge 8-0 and8-1. The second game was stopped after 4 innings because of rain.
Hannah Economou was the winning pitcher in the opener thanks to 20 strikeouts while Megan Parshall belted a home run and Mikayla Signor doubled. Katie Newberry had three hits in the second game. Economou struck out six in four innings of work before the rain moved in. Quincy is now 11-2.

Quincy defeated Stockbridge 5-4 in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader. The second game was suspended in the third inning due to lightning.
—GIRLS SOCCER—
QUINCY 0, SPRINGPORT 0 (TIE)Springport then outshot Quincy 4-3 on penalty kicks to take the extra league point in the standings. Springport out shot Quincy 7-3. The Orioles Keeper Haley Askew had 7 saves in the match.

In middle school track and field for Coldwater at Jackson Northwest Thursday, the Legg Middle School girls lost 55-98. The first place finishers were Elka Machan in the 2 mile and 800 meter run. Marissa Cox in the 1 mile run, Mia Rzepka, Emma Finn, Erika Parkinson, Madison Klotz in the 400 meter relay, and Mia Rzepka in the Pole Vault.
2nd and 3rd place finishes were Erika Parkinson, Claudia Rodriguez, Mia Rzepka, Madison klotz, Julia Radcliffe, Jasmine Coppess, Madison Hardy, and Cecelia DeWitt.
In the boys meet against Northwest, Coldwater lost 62-101. First place finishes were Kyle Faulk in the 2 mile and 1 mile, Jaxon Janusz in the 55 hurdles, Matt Gipple in the 200 meter dash, Angel Sereno, Spencer Rodesiler, Dylan Targgart, and Matt Gipple in the 400 meter relay, Dylan Targgart in the Shot Put, and Spencer Rodesiler in the Long Jump.
2nd and 3rd place finishes were by Angel Sereno, Hunter Andrews, Matt Gipple, Grant Kelley, Kyle Foulk, Ethan Massey, Jason Martinez, Antonio Potter, and Marshall Hoard.
