COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Board of Directors approved a series of monthly waste and wastewater rate hikes for residential usage on Tuesday.
Under the new rate structure, flat rates for water will go up from $38.11 to $39.22 a month while monthly wastewater rates would go up from $39.42 to $42.57.
Most B.P.U. customers have metered service. The amount of the rate hike depend on the size of the meter. The new rates would go into effect on June 1, 2016.
The proposed new rates now move onto the Coldwater City Council for their final approval.
