COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a resolution on Monday night which allows the Branch District Library to install 18 picture book display signs at various locations within Heritage Park.
The frames would be installed along a walking path.
Library Children’s Services Coordinator Erica Donihue says the permanent Story Walk would allow the library to share children’s literature that is written in many of the languages known in Coldwater.
She said initially they are looking at having four stories a year.
The District Library has been working with local community groups to fund this project.
While they have requested assistance from the City for the sign installations, the B.D.L. will manage the upkeep and repairs of each sign as needed.
