QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Community Schools food-service department has announced they will be doing the “Meet Up and Eat Up” program at Quincy Park again this summer.
The program will start on June 19 and be held Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. through the first week of August.
Besides a fun healthy lunch daily, there will be games and even some water fun.
Due to changes from the USDA, every child who eats lunch at the park will be able to take a breakfast home with them for the following morning. This is optional and is not required to enjoy lunch.
Free to go food bags with breakfast and lunch will be provided to youngsters on Fridays for the weekend.
Changes from the U.S.D.A. for rural school locations will also allow for the addition of three pick up locations.
They will be at the entrance to the Butler Motor Speedway on Tuesdays and at the park in Allen behind the fire station on Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on both days.
A third pick up location will be added for Thursdays once some details are worked out. Pickups will begin on June 22 and continue through the first week of August.
