COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Grand Design RV Owner’s Rally that was recently held at the Branch County Fairgrounds made a donation to the Coldwater Police and Fire Departments Scholarship Fund.
The fund was started last year based on employee contributions through payroll deductions. It’s hoped the first scholarship can be awarded in the spring of 2024.
The Grand Design RV Impact team gave the scholarship fund a donation of $1,450 that they raised through a raffle for a pair of custom-made corn hole boards.
In addition to the donation to the scholarship fund, they presented Coldwater police officers and fire fighters with “Hero’s Bags” containing snacks. They also presented Laura’s Place with hand-made blankets that were created by the group during their stay in Coldwater.
During the week-long rally, over 200 RV’s gathered at the fairgrounds. The rally included social activities, classes on RV maintenance, and vendor booths where participants could see new products and services geared towards the RV community.
