Mildred Irene (Schull) Sharpe, 87, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
The service will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Ken Hillman from the Tekonsha Church of God.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 19, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Interment will take place at a later date at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon.
Mildred was born February 5, 1936, to George and Lila (Tiffany) Jackson in Colon Twp., MI. She married Charles Schull April 23, 1953, he preceded her in death January 14, 1961. She later married Asa Sharpe on August 14, 1965; he preceded her in death August 18, 2000.
Mrs. Sharpe was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker, raising 7 children. She also worked in quality control at Bundy Tubing for 27 years. Following her retirement, she went to work for Michigan Works, retiring a second time after 10 years.
She was a member of the Tekonsha Church of God and Rebekah’s Lodge in Quincy. She enjoyed reading and camping at Coachmen Rallies.
Mildred is survived by her children, Judy (Jerry) Sabaitis of Coldwater, Janice (Jack) Ross of Sturgis, Tom (Wilda) Schull of Coldwater, Larry (Diane) Schull of Coldwater, John (Ellen) Schull of Sturgis, Asa (Cherie) Sharpe of Newport, TN; her brothers Robert (Dixie) Jackson of Fulton, George (Laura) Jackson of Sturgis, Bill (Diane) Jackson of Phoenix City, AL, Rick (Phyllis) Jackson of Mendon; her grandchildren Erik (Jayne) Sabaitis, Ryan (Janice Jalynski) Sabaitis, Brett Sabaitis, Nikki (Erve Crosby) Ross, Autumn (Shannon) Crabill-Hartley, Carissa (Pete) Newman, Amber Schull, Kileigh (Sean) Lacey, Cody (Taylor) Sharpe, Matt Sharpe; her great grandchildren Sheldon, Molly, Mason, Josephine, Rosetta, Paxton, Parker, Jack, Cleo, Finleigh, Hutch, Emmett, Eliana; and great-great grandchild Braylin.
In addition to her husbands, Mildred was preceded in death by her son Charles I. Schull; siblings Margaret Taylor, Mary Lou Perrin, John Jackson, and Gordon Jackson; and grandson Jack Ross, Jr.
