COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Police are investigating a shooting incident that took place Friday morning in an apartment at the Lofts at Milnes Plaza which left a man dead.
Coldwater Police Department Assistant Chief Patrick Beeman says the shooting was reported at 4:53 a.m..
Police, Life Care Ambulance and Coldwater Fire Department first responders were dispatched to the scene at 20 North Hanchett by Branch County 9-1-1 Central Dispatch.
Beeman says when police arrived they found a 25-year-old man unresponsive with a gun shot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are trying to determine if the shooting was an accident, self-inflicted or if there was criminal intent. No further information was being released on Friday morning.
