COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The financial situation at Maple Lawn Medical Care and Rehabilitation has improved to the point where officials have approached the Branch County Board of Commissioners about readjusting line items in their budget.
Maple Lawn Controller Jessica Worden told Commissioners during their work session on Thursday that the number of residents and revenues have increased at the county owned facility.
Officials say the census at Maple Lawn recently increased as compared to the last couple of years.
They were asking Commissioners to increase the fund revenues and expenses by $1-point-2 million as Maple Lawn’s revenue is trending about $190,000 over the current budget while expenses are trending $100,000 a month above budget.
The Commissioners agreed to bring the request forward for formal action during next Tuesday’s meeting.
